Great News:  Angels’ Bounty will return in February!

As you will remember, we had announced December as the last “Bounty” after nearly four years.  In December we rejoiced for the opportunity and “the difference” made; however, we were saddened at this ending.  We needed a person or a group to take on the “lead” role.

Just as so many times in our lives, when something is working we just assume it will keep working.  Sometimes “letting go” allows others to step up and experience great joy.   Answered prayer.   Angels’ Bounty will continue as in the past:  Floyd Baptist Church – doors open at 10:00 a.m., music at 11:00 followed by a sit down meal served around 11:45.  Donations are not required but monetary donations and non-perishable food is collected as people are able to give.

If you can benefit from a nutritious meal, good fellowship and wonderful entertainment –mark your calendar for the third Wednesday of every month.  If schools are closed, Bounty is cancelled; however, if Floyd County schools operate on a late schedule, Bounty will be held.

We were blessed last week with our first on-going partnership with a class from FCHS.  We anticipate many community partnerships in 2012 – another way to expand our services and our manpower.  Your ideas are always welcome.

The Attic is full of furniture, winter clothing is being added daily (not too late for that warm coat, sweater, boots . . . . ) and new inventory has replaced all our Christmas inventory.  Come in often – our inventory changes daily!  Come see our ever-changing Boutique items.  Soon we will be expanding this space – watch for details!

A meeting of volunteers/prospective volunteers will be held on Thursday, January 19 at 1:00 p.m.  Please plan to join us as we get ready and gear up for 2012!  All are welcome and invited.
