COMMUNITY CHALLENGE 

Application Dates:  Sept – Oct 30, 2008 

Distribution:  November 1 – November 7, 2008

Final Reporting:  Not earlier than February 15, 2009 – possibly

The Community Challenge is “on”.    Our plan – provide $300.00 of “seed” money to a total of (10) groups in a COMMUNITY CHALLENGE.  The goal, of course, would be to multiply that $300.00 for the stated project.  The inspiration of this project comes from the Parable of the Talents. 

We will take proposals until October 30 – we would like the following information:

1)    Church or Civic Organization

2)    Your mission

3)    Adults (at least two) in charge of the project

4)    What you would do with the $300.00 – how would you use it as seed money to grow  and multiply that amount of money

5)    How you would spend  the total amount – (remember we believe we are our brother’s keeper) – How will your seed money plus earnings meet that mission.

Our list of service agencies is posted in our window – it is our intent that we continue to support these needs of our community with challenge money.

6)    A commitment to provide a written, detailed report of your activity at the close of the challenge (ending date to be determined but at least three months from receipt of challenge money)
