2011 YEAR-END REPORT

Angels in the Attic

·         2011 sales, $92,272.97,  exceeded 2010 sales by $6,300.00

o   We closed 3 weeks in May for reorganization

·         Opened Angels’ Boutique in August 2010

·         Purchased Angels’ Donation Center in September 2010

o   Initial loan of $50,000 – current debt $37,500

·         Opened Christmas Store at donated space Village Green (Dec 1-20)   – 75% of sales to DSS Fuel Assistance Program ($1,366.00)

·         Honoring each donation:

o   Re-purpose

o   Bundle clothing items for re-sale or in-kind donations

§  Clothing packets to DSS for children

§  Baby clothing packets available for purchase for needy children – packets range from newborn – 3 months, 6 to 9 months, 12 months, 18 months, and 24 months.  Plans to expand program.

·         Goal for churches, individuals, civic groups to purchase either

§  Gift certificates to Christmas for Children families – cleaned toys and books provided CFC to distribute as used items during their distribution

§  Gift certificate to each of the 39 Silver Bell recipients and sweat shirt/pants to each.

First Ecumenical event – 14 churches partnered with Angels Ministries to offer “The Road to Bethlehem Children’s Festival” a Christ centered event including the telling of the Christmas story (some had not heard!!), and activity stations, refreshments and – cleaned books and toys available for each child – over 300 attended.

Total Sales since opening March 2000:  $753,625.97

 

Angels’ Bounty   held 10 months in 2010 – food donations of 1800 lbs donated to church food pantries – Last scheduled Bounty was held in December 2011.  Served 120 meals.
